Electromyographic Study in Patients with Thyrotoxic Myopathy

Abstract

Objective Through detecting EMG and NCV,to explore the clinical application value of EMG in patients with thyrotoxic myopathy.Methods NCV and EMG were done in thirty patients with hyperthyroidism.Results Normal MCV and SCV were observed in all the thirty patients.And in the patients,the electromyography demonstrated myopathic damage.Conclusion EMG might detect clinical thyrotoxic myopathy.EMG might be a more sensitive and objective index.
