Abstract

Objective To investigate the hepatic function damage after transarterial chemoembolizations(TACE) for treating hepatic malignant tumor. Methods Forty-two patients with hepatic malignant tumor underwent repeated TACE.The hepatic function changes of pre-operation,post-operative one day,one week, two weeks, four weeks after the first treatment and the hepatic function after repeated treatment were retrospectively reviewed.Result The median value of ALT,AST,TBIL and DBIL of post-operative one day were significantly higher than that of pre-operation(P0.001).The median value of ALT,TBIL and DBIL of post-operative one week were significantly higher than that of pre-operation(P0.001).There were no significant difference between that of post-operative two weeks, four weeks and that of pre-operation(P0.05).There were no significant difference in Child-Pugh grading after repeated TACE(P0.05).Conclusions The hepatic function damage after TACE can recover to the value of post-operative in 2-4weeks.The hepatic function should be get protection from pre-operation to post-operation.
