Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between severity of coronary artery lesion and plasma level of lipoprotein Lp(a).Methods Three hundred and thirty patients with probable angina pectoris underwent coronary angiography were examined by quantitative coronary angiography analysis.Blood sample were collected and plasma level of Lp(a)was tested.Results Plasma Lp(a)in coronary heart disease group was significantly higher than that of control group[(275±122)mg/L VS(203±117)mg/L](P0.01),Lp(a)levels in the higher and moderate coronary lesion scores were higher than that of low coronary lesion scores(P0.01 or 0.05).Conclusion Plasma level of Lp(a)appeared to be a good predictor for coronary heart disease and lesion severity.
