Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the change and clinical significance of nitric oxide(NO) and endothelin(ET) levels of patients with liver cirrhosis.METHODS 68 cases with cirrhosis(cirrhosis group) treated in our hospital from January 2009 to October 2011 according to the Child-Pugh were classified into A,B,and C.The healthy outpatients in the control group. All patients were taken fasting venous blood in the early morning.Nitrate reduction method and radioimmunoassay were used to detect serum content of NO,ET respectively for analysis and comparison.RESULTS The average levels of NO and ET in the serum of patients with liver cirrhosis group were significantly higher than the control group, and the difference was significant,P﹤0.05.The level of NO and ET in serum of patients with cirrhosis in group A,group B,group C gradually increased with the classification level increasing.Compared with group B and group C,group A had significant difference,P﹤0.05.Compared with group A,group B had significant difference. There was significant difference in the NO /ET ratio between group B and group A,P﹤0.05,but no significant difference between group C and group B,P﹥0.05.The Logistic multi-regression analysis results showed that NO content(OR = 6.358) and ET content(OR = 5.472) had a high degree of correlation with the onset of cirrhosis of the liver,P﹤0.01.CONCLUSION The levels of ET,NO content in patients with liver cirrhosis are significantly higher than the control group, and have a high degree correlation with the occurrence of the liver cirrhosis.
