Abstract

Objective To study influence factors for elevation of serum CAl9-9 in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods Four hundred and sixty patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into CA19-9 normal group(CAl9-9≤37 U/ml) and CA19-9 elevated group(CAl9-937 U/ml) according to the serum level of Ca 19-9.Glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),total cholesterol(TC),lower density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C),triglyceride(TG) and insulin-like growth factor(IGF-1) were examined in all patients. The difference in gender, age, duration of diabetes, body mass index(BMI) etc was analyzed between these two groups.Step-wise logistics regression analysis was performed to compare above factors. Results For female patients with type 2 diabetes,HBA1c,TC and LDL-C were their risk factors for elevation of CA19-9(P0.05),and there were no statistical significance(P0.05) among age, duration of diabetes,BMI,and levels of FPG,and IGF-1 and triglyceride. The correlation analysis showed that the elevation of serum CA19-9 was related with HbAlc and gender(P0.05).Conclusion The elevation of serum CA19-9 is related with HbAlc and gender in patients with type 2 diabetes.
