Abstract
Objective To study the clinical application of multislice spiral CT angiography(CTA) in the diagnosis of neck and cranial arteries stenosis. Methods 100 patients underwent DSA after CTA.The hemadostenosis related results of both CTA and DSA images about the initiation part of vertebral artery, internal carotid artery bifurcation(4 cm in both upper and under portions),the A1 2 part of the anterior cerebral artery,M 1 part of 2 cerebral middle artery,V15 part of vertebral artery(each case had 10 parts with a total of 1000 parts) were compared and analyzed. And the result showed by DSA was served as the golden standard. Results Images of both CTA and DSA for 100 patients were satisfactory. And compared with DSA,the sensitivity and specificity of multislice CTA in detecting neck and cranial arteries stenosis were 99.2% and 99.7%,respectively.Conclusion The diagnosis of neck and cranial arteries stenosis by CTA is a reliable and atraumatic detection method with its unique advantages, and worthy of being widely applied in clinic.
