Abstract

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Buyanghuanwu decoction on hepatic fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B. Methods 106 patients with chronic hepatitis B were randomly divided into two groups. 56 patients in treatment group were treated by Buyanghuanwu decoction;50 patients in control group were treated by Dahuang chong pill, with a treatment course of three months for both groups. The HA,C-IV,LN,P Ⅲ P, liver function and B-ultrasound were detected before and after treatment for both groups. Results The state of improvement in clinical symptoms and signs in treatment group was significantly superior to that of control group (P0.05);after treatment serum HA,C-IV,LN and P Ⅲ P in treatment group were obviously decreased, and liver function improved significantly, as compared with those of control group (P0.05);after treatment there were significant differences in the improvement of hepatic histopathology showed by B-ultrasound between two groups (P0.01). Conclusion Buyanghuanwu decoction is effective in treating hepatic fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B.
