Clinical Observation of "Liver-Softening Decoction" in Treating Liver Fibrosis Following Chronic Hepatitis

To observe the clinical efficacy of Liver-Softening Decoctionin the treatment of liver fibrosis following chronic hepatitis,60 cases were randomized into treatment group with 30 cases treated withLiver-Softening Decoctionand control group with another 30 cases treated withGinseng Trionychidae Pill.They were all treated for 6 months.The clinical symptoms,signs,liver function and indexes related to liver fibrosis were observed.Results:In treatment group,the clinical symptoms and signs improved significantly,especially fatigue that improved more obviously in comparison with control group,P0.01;globulins and γ-globulins improved obviously after treatment,P0.01,also improved much more in comparison with control group,P0.01;HA,IVC,PIIIP and LN also improved remarkably after treatment,P0.01,with a significant difference of HA,LN (P0.01)and IVC (P0.05)in comparison with control group;the total effective rates were 83.33% and 73.33% respectively in treatment group and control group,with a difference between them,P0.05;the excellent rates were 33.33% and 23.33% respectively,with a significant difference between them,P0.01.It is indicated thatLiver-Softening Decoctionhas a better effect on liver fibrosis and cirrhosis arising from virus B hepatitis.
