Tourism:An Effective Way for the New Rural Construction In West China

Abstract

To properly develop the tourism in the rural areas would bring about social,economical,cul- tural and living benefits.The sustained,rapid and healthy development of tourism will not only serve as a solution to the current“rural,peasant and agricultural”problem,but also as a new perspective and point of entry for the current new socialist rural construction.This article introduces the concept of the new socialist rural construction.Based on the analysis of the case of the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autono- mous Prefecture in Sichuan,it is concluded that the tourism industry is and will be the pillar or the supe- rior industry in the west poor areas.It is stated that in the resource flourish west areas,to develop the tourism industry and its related industries would be the effective way for the new economic development and new rural construction.
