Abstract
Objective To This study was performed to see the expression status of bcl-2 protein in Chronic atrophic gastritis and investigate the relationship between precancerous lesion and cell apoptosis of gastric mucosa. Methods The expression of bcl-2 in 73 gastric mucosa samples with chronic gastritis was evaluated by s-p immunohistochemistry. Results Bcl-2 expression in glandular epithelium with chronic atrophic gastritis was remarkably higher than those with chronic superficial gastritis. Conclusion The over-expression of bcl-2 in chronic atrophic gastritis may be one of the important mechanisms in gastric glandular epithelium proliferation and apoptosis disequilibrium.
