Abstract
Objective To explore the expression and role of osteopontin(OPN) and CD44v6 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and analyze the relationship between its expression and clinicopathologic features. Methods The expression of OPN and CD44v6 was studied by immunohistochemistry in 45 cases of OPN and CD44v6 were 51.1%,57.8%,respectively.There was a strong correlation between the expression of OPN and CD44v6 in nasopharyngeal cacinoma,it was obviously related with tumor degree of lymphatic vessel invasion or long distant lymph node metastaseses(P0.05).Conclusion OPN and CD444v6 may play an important role in the progression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and they may involve in the invasion and metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
