Study on Urbanization Process and Urban Agglomeration of Henan Province

Henan Province urbanization level was in a higher level and rapidly developed stage in Chinese middle region.It was important to enhance quality of Henan urbanization which contained better demonstrating meaning and practical value.This paper analyzed temporal and spatial change characteristics of level of urbanization in Henan Province after founding of People′s Republic of China,and then made stage division and cause analysis combined with specific time and space.Due to absence of some years,this paper conducted spatial analysis with comparative analysis.Urban agglomeration was a high degree urbanization and closely related area in region,and was also an important manifestation of a highly developed area of urbanization in region.By means of kernel density analysis method analyzed temporal and spatial process of agglomeration in Henan Province.Found that distribution pattern of urbanization level in Henan Province was the middle was dense and peripheral was sparse,and this orientation of distribution pattern did not change as well as development of Henan Province,and also found growth of urbanization level of Henan became stable and divergence.
