Abstract

Experiments were conducted to investigate the influence factors, such as waste characteristics, combustion temperature, oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas and urea injecting quantity, on the release of NO_x. The result has showed that the NO_x emission increases as the organic substance in MSW and combustion temperature in furnace increased. When the oxygen concentration in exhaust gas is less than 7%~8%, the NO_x emission increases with the increasing in oxygen concentration, however, increasing the oxygen concentration further, the NO_x emission decreases with the oxygen concentration slowly, because of the dilution of air. De-NO_x experiment was carried out by injecting urea solution at 850~890℃, it is found that the NO_x emission is higher than the value, which the urea is not injected into the furnace. This indicates that some of the urea is oxidized into NO_x, therefore, the total NO_x emission is increased. Under the normal operation condition, the NO_x emission is below 150mg/m~3.
