Abstract
The 64 unsaturated compacted soil specimens from Nanchang City are experimented according to direct shear test method.Influencing law of unsaturated laterite water content and dry density for shear strength is researched.The results show that relations between water content,dry density and shear strength and value of C,φ are not simple linearity.Under same dry density,shear strength decreases with water content increase.Under same water content,value of C increases with dry density increase,relation between φ and dry density is complex.
