Abstract

Regeneration of cassava(Manihot esculenta Crantz),both v ia organogenesis and somatic embryogenesis is reviewed.Organogenesis can be indu ced from many kinds of explants such as apical meristems, nodes with axillary bud s,immature leaves, embryonic axes and cotyledons.Primary somatic embryogenesis ca n begin with embryonic axes, cotyledons, immature leaves and flowers.Based on prim ary somatic embryos, cyclic somatic embryogenesis system can be developed.
