Abstract
It is very important to accurately calculate the jacking forces in pipe jacking during the construction design of pipe jacking. There are many calculation formulas for jacking forces in pipe jacking,but the calculation results are much different. Because of these problems,the contrast and classification for its calculation formulas were carried out. Through the numerical analysis on the formulas in project examples,the application range of each formula and the problems to which attention should be paid during the calculation are put forward. It is concluded that the calculation result without considering the soil arching effect is more than the result with considering it,and the calculation result of jacking forces in pipe jacking in the criterion is relatively conservative.
