Research of NURBS Interpolation Based on STEP-NC

Abstract

In this paper,discuss the shortcoming of the old NC interface ISO6983,research the NURBS Interpolation method based on new NC interface STEP-NC system.Discuss NURBS algorithm detailed,and analysis the error.STEP-NC system can process geometry and manufacturer information expressed by NURBS directly,use STEP-NC new NC interface,the NURBS whole geometry and manufacturer information can be input to the NC system.NURBS Interpolation's code smaller,speed faster and precision higher than G-code program,it can increase the productivity and improve the quality of product.NURBS Interpolation is the base of further research STEP-NC system.
