Abstract

According to the requirement in developing new generation of STEP-NC control system, the interpolation control method of NURBS curved surface for this new kind of numerical control system was researched. The algorithms for surface information processing, machining path planning and real time locus interpolation involved in this method have been worked out from the research results. Application shows that this method is feasible, has a high accuracy and good real time property, and should meet the need of high performance STEP-NC control system.
