Abstract

0bjective To observe the effects of Bacterial Cellulose(BC) on reducing rabbit ears hypertrophic scar. Methods Hypertrophic scar model were established on 30 adult New Zealand rabbit ears with general anesthesia after the 21th days postoperative(Wound epithelization),five different scars of each rabbit ear which were given different treatments were randomly divided into 5 groups.Including three experimental groups(patching different absorbent bacterial cellulose(BC)film such as the BC(1:5) treated-group(Group A),the BC(1:6) treated-group(Group B),the BC(1:8) treated-group(Group C)) and two control groups(patching silicone scar patch as a positive control group D,without sticking any litterand natural growth of scar as a negative control group E).After 0 d、14d 、21d、28d、42d、56d of givening scar surface different treatments, making hydroxyproline(Hpr) content detection. Results The Hpr contents in group A、B、C were more than in group D but lower than in group E.Compared the content of Hpr in group A、B、C,ABC(P0.05).Conclusion Bacterial cellulose inhibit the rabbit ears hyperplastic scar, compared the effection of each groups bacterial cellulose,ABC.
