Relationship between Serum Level of TGF-β_1 and Hepatic Fibrosis in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B

Objective:To detect the expressions of serum TGF-β_1 in patients with chronic hepatitis B on different phases of fibrosis,and to investigate the relationship between TGF-β_1 and fibrosis stage, and to evaluate diagnosis value of hepatic fibrosis.Methods:Serum TGF-β_1 was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,serum HA、LN、PⅢNP、CⅣ were detected by radioimmunoassay in 40 patients.Liver puncture was performed in them. To analyse the relationship between TGF-β_1 and hepatic fibrosis stage and hepatitis grade.To study the relevance between TGF-β_1 and HA、LN、PⅢNP、CⅣ.Results:(1)The serum level of TGF-β_1 was notable higher than normal control (P0.01),increased with the elevation of fibrosis stage,Serum TGF-β_1 had positive correlation with HA、LN、PⅢNP、CⅣ(P0.01).(2) Serum TGF-β_1 of G_1～G_4 was notable higher than G_0 (P0.01),but there were no significant differences between every two groups of G_1、G_2、G_3、G_4(P0.05).Conclusions:There is a closely relationship between the serum level of TGF-β_1 and hepatic fibrosis stage, serum TGF-β_1 is not influnced by hepatitis grade.Serum TGF-β_1 is more sensitive than HA、LN、PⅢNP、CⅣ in early period of hepatic fibrosis.Serum TGF-β_1 has affirmative value to diagnose early period of hepatic fibrosis.
