Relationship between serum level of TGF-β1 and hepatic fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B

Objective:To detect the expression of serum TGF-β1 in patients with chronic hepatitis B on different phases of fibrosis,and to investigate the relationship between TGF-β1 and fibrosis stage,and to evaluate diagnosis value of hepatic fibrosis.Methods:The serum TGF-β1 was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,the serum HA、LN、PⅢNP、CⅣ were detected by radioimmunoassay in 32 patients.Liver puncture was performed in all patients to analyse the relationship between TGF-B1 and hepatic fibrosis stage and hepatitis grade and study the relevance between TGF-β1 and HA、LN、PⅢNP、CⅣ.Results:(1)The serum level of TGF-β1 in chronic hepatitis B group was notable higher than that in normal control group(P0.01),increased with the elevation of fibrosis stage,the serum TGF-β1 had positive ecorrelation with HA、LN、PⅢNP、CⅣ(P0.01).(2)The serum TGF-β1 in G1~G4 group was notable higher than that in G0(P0.01),but there were no significant differences in G1、G2、G3、G4 between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion:There is a closely relationship between the serum level of TGF-β1 and hepatic fibrosis stage,the serum TGF-β1 is not influnced by hepatitis grade.The serum TGF-β1 is more sensitive than HA、LN、PⅢNP、CⅣ in early period of hepatic fibrosis.The serum TGF-β1 has affirmative value to diagnose early period of hepatic fibrosis.
