The Longdong (eastern Gansu) dialect belongs to that of foe Qin-Long region (Shanxi and Gansu Provinces) where the Zhongyuan (Central Plains) official dialect is spoken. It has 23 initials, 34 finals, and 4 tones of a syllable, corresponding to initials, finals and tones of a syllable in the standard Chinese pronunciation.
