Abstract

Objective To evaluate the advantage of blood collection from temporal superficial vein of infants. Methods Multiple factors of blood collection form temporal superficial vein and other veins (thigh vein and lamb superficial vein) were compared statistically. Results Temporal group showed significant advantage over thigh vein group through statistical treatment P 0.01) and lamb superficial vein group ( P 0.05). Conclusion Blood collection from temporal superficial vein can not only boost efficiency, relieve pain, but also elevate the quality of collected blood. This method of blood collection can be put into clinical application, and can be popularized in clinic.
