Abstract

Cobalt(Ⅱ) in NaOH can catalyze the discolouring oxidization of 2,4 dichlorophenylfluorone(DClPF)by H 2O 2.A new catalytic spectrophotometric method for determining trace cobalt(Ⅱ) was obtained. The detection limit of the method is 2.0×10 -12 g/mL and the range of determination is 0~5 ng/10mL.This method has high sensitivity and selectivity. It does not need heating and has less interference. It has been used to determine trace cobalt(Ⅱ) in vitamin B 12 with satisfactory results.
