Abstract

The magmatic intrusion in the coal seams brings about a great effect on coal safe production, so it is very important to locate the boundary of the magmatic intrusion in coal. In this paper, the seismic interpretation method for the magmatic intrusion in the coal is put forward, including three kinds of lithology interpretation methods, i.e. seismic inversion, seismic face analysis and spectrum decomposition. The property of the method is to utilize comprehensively drilling data and seismic dynamic information of high impedance, high frequency and waveform difference. The practical 3D seismic data in a coal mine, Huaibei, Anhui Province are interpreted with the method, and reliable geological basis is supplied for the boundary of the magmatic intrusion in coal.
