Integrated Interpretation of Magmatic Rock-intruded Coal Seam in Wolonghu Mining Area

Abstract

A model of magmatic rock- intruded coal seam was built according to the stratigraphic characteristics of Wolonghu Mining Area and the seismic numerical simulation of it was carried out,it was proofed that there were many differences in seismic attributes between the coal seam and magmatic rock,including the wave impedance,waveform features,frequency spectrum and so on. It showed that the differences of seismic attributes were the theoretical foundation of using the lithologic interpretation method to distinguish the magmatic intrusion zone. On the basis of this study,comprehensive prediction was made on the magmatic rock intrusion in 8thcoal seam in Wolonghu Mining Area through the lithologic procession and interpretation of the seismic data in this area,so it can play a guiding role for safe production in the coal mine.
