Abstract
This paper analyses the principle of boiler blowdown which is a routine operation of boilers as well as the relationship between boiler’s energy efficiency and rational blowdown.Calculation of blowdown rate based on the conductivity of boiler water provides a relatively simple measure to cut down blowdown.The paper also suggests the way of recovering heat of blowdown water and other measures to utilize blowdown water.
