The review of diagnosis of human toxoplasmosis by immunoassay and genetic approaches

Toxoplasma gondii, a widely distributed and obligate intracellular protozoan parasite, if infected, often cause severe congenital defects in pregnant women and life-threatening clinic events in whatever immunocompromised hosts. In these cases the hosts usually have no clinic symptom, and a rapid and accurate diagnosis is required to initiate treatment. Laboratory diagonistic techniques are reviewed in the present paper.
