Prevention and treatment for complications of tracheobronchial stent implantation via digital bronchoscope for central airway stenosis

Objective To observe the complications of tracheobronchial stent implantation via digital bronchoscope for central airway stenosis and investigate strategies to prevent and treat the complications.Methods Twenty-five patients with central airway stenosis received tracheobronchial sent implantation via digital bronchoscope.Postoperative complications were closely monitored and preventive measures were summarized.Results Tracheobronchial stent implantation was completed in all the twenty-five patients without intraoperative death case.Postoperative complications included coughs,pains and foreign body sensation,hemoptysis,migration of the stent, restenosis of the airway and discomfort in swallowing.Conclusion Tracheobronchial stent implantation via digital bronchoscope is a safe and effective method with mild complications.It has significant value for improving the quality of life of patients with central airway stenosis.
