The Status Quo and the Characteristics of Education Equity Research in China

Education equity includes equity of educational right,equity of educational starting point,equity of educational process and equity of educational outcome.The level of education equity of China was enhancing constantly from 1978,but there were somewhat worse in some aspects.The problems of education equity in China focus on the gap between city and country,different areas as well as different classes.The reason causing problems of education equity include the following:education institution,education policies,social stratification and culture factors,etc..Equity ideas,investment,institution reformation as well as compensation are needed to deal with the problems of education equity synthetically.The government should take the main accountability on education equity.There are some characteristics on education equity research in China such as the wide research view shot,the strong caring on reality,the acceptation of justice theory of Rawls,while focusing more on macrolevel than on middle level and micro-level,and focusing more on starting point equity than on process equity and outcome equity.
