Abstract
Objective:To analyze the factors of fertilization rate for couples with unexplained infertility undergoing first in vitro fertilization (ivf). Methods:According to the fertilization rate,44 patients undergoing first IVF were divided into two groups:high fertilization group (fertilization rate 50%),group A (n=28) and low fertilization group (≤50%),group B (n=16) ;Using of statistics to analysis age, infertility years, the superovulation programs, number of MII oocytes,good-quality embryos, pregnancy rate and implantation rate between two ggroups. Results:There was no statistically significant difference with age, baseline FSH,days of stimulation, total gonadotrophin amount, number of CCOCs retrieved between group A and group B,however infertility years of group A were shorter than those of group B,the rate of M II oocytes and good-quality embryos were higher than those of group B.There was obviously statistical difference between the two groups (P=0.002,P 0.05).The pregnancy rate of group A (32%) was higher than that of group B (14.28%).Conclusions:The way of fertilization for couples with unexplained infertility undergoing first ivf should be choosed by age, infertilyty years and the Number of CCOCs retrieved. It was not claimed that ICSI indication would be blindly expanded.
