Abstract

The colorless Bi12SiO20 crystal was sucessfully grown by hydrothermal method using spontaneity nucleation BSO crystal as raw materials and 4.0 mol/L NaOH solution as mineralize. The transmission was mearsured and the reason for the color core in BSO crystal was analyzed. The results indicate that hydrothermal BSO crystal don' t occur absorption in the visible light region, which settle the color core existed in the melt growth BSO crystal.
