How Aesthetics Is Taught

Abstract

How aesthetics is taught? This is a question worthy of inquiring. Because aesthetics is embodied in the works of aesthetic principles, this inquiry becomes a discussion of how aesthetics is discussed in the works of aesthetic principles. Using the approach of statistics, the author gives a comprehensive study of the standard works of aesthetics published in the past 20 years in order to reveal the fact. The result shows that the principles of aesthetics usually include the three kinds of problems related to beauty, aesthetic perception and art which are subdivided into the nature of beauty, the forms of beauty, the physiological and psychological analysis of aesthetic perception, the classification of art, etc.
