Abstract
A mispairing PCR was used to flank the paternal expressed insulin-like growth factor 2 ( IGF2) gene Intron3 G3072A mutation,which was subjected to identify the effect of the variation on muscle developing and fat deposition in LanDrance × Large White cross,and the influence of the variation on the developing changes in longissimus dorsi muscle via real-time PCR. The results showed that the single nucleotide polymorphism in IGF2 gene intron 3 G3072A site had an important or very important influence on muscle growth and fat deposition. Compared with the boars inherited from parental G allele,the IGF2 gene expression in the boars inherited from parental A allele exhibited remarkable up-regulation at day 42 and 180 ( P 0. 05) ,respectively,and as significanty up-regulation at day 70,90 and 120 ( P 0. 01) ,respectively,in longissimus dorsi muscle in LanDrance × Large White cross.
