Abstract

Objective To study the relationships between asymptomatic infection of chlamydia trachomatis(Ct) and ureplasm urealyticum(Uu) and tubal infertility. Methods Forty two samples of cervical secretions of the patients with tubal infertility were collocted for observation, while another 34 samples of cervical secretions of the normal child-bearing period women as controls.Polymerase chain reaction(PCR) was used to detect the infections of Ct and Uu in the two groups. Results The positive rate of the Ct, Uu, Ct and Uu comblined infections in the samples of cervical secretions of the patients with tubal infertility are 26.2%, 64.3% and 14.3% respectively, while the positive rate of the Ct, Uu,Ct and Uu combined infections in the samples of the control groups were 5.9%, 11.8% and 0 respectively, showing a significant difference between the two groups(P0.01).The positive rate of the Ct, Uu, Ct and Uu combined infections in the samples of serum of peripheral blood of the patients with tubal infertility were 2.4%, 4.8% and 0 respectively, that of the control group 2.9%, 5.9% and 0 respectively, which show no difference between the two groups (P0.05). Conclusion The occurrence of tubal infertility closely related with asymptomatic infections of chlamydia trachomatis and ureplasm urealyticum.
