Predicaments and Transcendence for the Metropolitan Literature in Lingnan against the Postmodern Urban Background

While some achievements have been attained in the creation of Lingnan urban literature,there are still some defects,the conspicuous ones being the deficiency of profound thoughts,the regularization of subject matters and skills,the unitariness of aesthetic modes,etc..Such a phenomenon is directly linked with the cultural background of Lingnan urban literature in that Lingnan literature has not only some traditional elements but also certain postmodern factors.This paper attempts to explore the way of transcendence and elevation for Lingnan urban literature infiltrated in Lingnan culture by analyzing the problems and causes for its development against the postmodern background.
