The Meaning of Plasma Neuropetide Y、Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide Levels Change in Patients with Congestive Heart Failure

Objective To measure the changes of plasma Neuropeptide Y,Calcitonin gene related peptide(CGRP),and to explore their clinical significance in patients with congestive heart failure(CHF).Methords group A(patients with congestive heart failure)60 patients are under routine therapy;group B(control subjects),58 patients.Both group A and group B,plasma levels of NPY、CGRP were determinated by radioimmunossay kit at fasting venous blood respectively on the second day,1 week、2 weeks of hospitalization.Results After internal medical therapy,there were effects to group A.Plasma NPY levels in group A were obviously higher then those in group B(P0.01),while plasma CGRP levels were significantly lower than group B(P0.01).Conclusion Both NPY and CGRP paticipate in the progress of CHF and there were positive(r=0.83) and negative(r=-0.63) relation between the plasma level NPY、CGRP and the severity of CHF.
