A Commentary on the Administration of Yunnan in the Early Qing Dynasty

The early Qing Dynasty,especially in the 20~30 years after the suppression of the Three-Tribal Uprising,was a critical period for turning the turbulent Yunnan into a peaceful province.Through learning from the experience and lessons of the previous dynasties as well as some adjustment and reform,the rulers of the Qing Dynasty gradually formed a relatively comprehensive system for administrating Yunnan,which covered the politics,economy and culture and suited the actual social development then and laid the foundation for the future administration of Yunnan.
