Abstract

DOCO olefin-reducing catalyst and MGD (Maximizing Gas and Diesel) process were adopted in combination in PetroChina Daqing Petrochemical Co., Ltd. to reduce olefin content in the gasoline product of a 1.40 Mt·a~(-1) heavy oil FCC unit. The application results showed that olefin content in gasoline was reduced by 15% with slight loss of MON and RON; desirable product distribution was obtained with slight decrease in oil slurry yield, slight increase in coke yield, slight decrease in diesel yield and slight increase in LPG yield. Catalyst consumption increased due to high requirement of MGD process on activity. Remarkable economic benefit was thus obtained.
