Abstract

Effects of operation conditions were studied on the compositions and research octane number (RON) of fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) gasoline with GOR-Q catalyst for reducing olefin and with normal MLC-500 catalyst. The results show that most of gasoline olefins are in low carbon number and the effect of GOR-Q catalyst on decreasing gasoline olefin is obvious. The influence of the operation conditions on olefin, aromatic and iso-paraffin content of FCC gasoline is apparent. The operation conditions less than (520 °C) in reaction temperature and no less than 7 in catalyst to oil ratio for GOR-Q catalyst are beneficial to the reduction of gasoline olefin content. The RON of FCC gasoline will decrease by (1.1) to (1.7) units under the reaction temperature from 500 to (520 °C) and the catalyst to oil ratio from 5 to 8.
