Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect and mechanism of a wide range of concentration of arsenic trioxide on breast cancer cell MDA-MB-435s.Methods:The cell growth activity was detected by MTT assay and the morphologic changes was studied after treatment with different concentration. The apoptosis was detected by the method of Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase biotindUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL) and DNA Gel electrophoresis.Result:The cell growth was depressed by arsenic trioxide depending on concentration obviously. The presented apoptosis features were observed;DNA gel electrophoresis showed DNA ladder; The index of apoptosis(AI) of the treated group was significantly higher than that of negative control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Arsenic trioxide can inhibit the growth of breast cancer cell MDA-MB-435s obviously relevant to apoptosis.
