Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of L-aspartic acid amlodipine tablets and atorvastatin calcium tablets on the treatment of elderly patients with hypertension and coronary heart disease. Methods: One hundred and thirty cases of elderly patients treated in our hospital from June 2010 to June 2012 were divided into an observation group and a control group with 65 cases each based on the random digital act. Patients were treated with atorvastatin in the control group or L-aspartic acid amlodipine tablets plus atorvastatin calcium tablets in the observation group. The blood pressure, angina changes and adverse reactions were observed and their efficacy was evaluated. Results: After treatment, the SBP, DBP, angina attack frequency of patients were significantly reduced in the observation group than in the control group (P0.05). The total effective rate was 90.76%(59/65)in the observation group and 78.46%(51/65)in the control group and their difference was statisticallysignificant (P0.05). Conclusion: Combination therapy of L-aspartic acid amlodipine tablets with atorvastatin calcium tablets can reduce lipid and blood pressure and improve heart function with a higher efficacy and fewer adverse reactions as compared with monotherapy of atorvastatin.
