Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of serum containing Tongbi on in vitro articular chondrocyte generation and the levels of MMP-3 and TIMP-1. Methods The serum was added to culture medium of rabbit articular chondrocyte and the generation of chondrocyte was detected, and the levels of MMP-3 and TIMP-1 was determined. Results The serum could upgrade chondrocyte proliferation and degrade MMP-3/TIMP-1. Conclusion The Decoction can upgrade chondrocyte proliferation and degrade MMP-3/TIMP-1 .
