Abstract
Objective To measure the alteration of early diastolic flow propagation velocity (V P) of left ventricle in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM),and to investigate its clinical value. Methods Using color M-mode Doppler echocardiography,V P was measured in 52 patients with HCM and 30 healthy volunteers. Results Compared with normal control,V P in patients with HCM was decreased significantly (t= 8.42,P 0.001).Spearman rank analysis showed there was a good correlation between V P and the degree of left ventricular diastolic function (r= -0.71,P 0.001).Conclusions V P may be used to evaluate left ventricular diastolic function accurately in the patients with HCM.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
