Abstract

Based on the panel data of 39 countries from 1995 to 2009,the paper applies the individual fixed effects model and the panel data instrumental variable method to examines the impact of technological innovation on the international competitiveness of the wood processing industry under the carbon constraint scenario. The results suggests that: With the advent of low-carbon economy, industrial development pattern driven by production factors will gradually become bottlenecks in improving the international competitiveness of the wood processing industry. But technological innovation can effectively enhance the international competitiveness of the wood processing industry. Especially in the lowcarbon constraints, there is Second-mover advantagein the promoting role of technological innovation on international competitiveness of the wood processing industry.
