Abstract

Low-carbon is becoming an important factor in international competition for all industries in different countries,so it is of great theoretical and practical significance to re-evaluate the international competitiveness of China's paper-making industry from the perspective of low-carbon economy.Based on the literature review on the evaluation index and method of industry international competitiveness and low carbon competitiveness, the paper carries out a comparison and evaluation on paper-making industry's international competitiveness of China and several other countries from the traditional international competitiveness evaluation index, that is,international market share, trade competitiveness index, relative trade advantage index and three low-carbon competitiveness indexes including carbon intensity, carbon intensity rate of change and carbon productivity. The conclusion shows that, compared with other countries, traditional international competitiveness and low-carbon competitiveness of China's paper-making industry is rather delayed.
