Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the association of α-adducin and CYP11B2 gene polymorphisms with essential hypertension in Han population,Henan.METHODS PCR-RFLP and case-control analysis were used in 145 essential hypertensive subjects and 120 normal control subjects. At the same time,we compared genotype and allele frequencies of α-adducin and CYP11B2 in normal control subjects with that in essential hypertensive cohort,so as to explore the association of α-adducin and CYP11B2 genes single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNP) with essential hypertension in Han population,Henan.RESULTS Genotype frequency of TG,TT and GG of α-adducin gene were 0.450,0.350,0.200 in hypertension group and 0.524,0.331,0.145 in normal control subjects, respectively. There was no significant differences between two groups(χ 2 = 1.98,P﹥0.05).The allelic frequency of T and G were 0.575 and 0.425 in hypertension group and 0.593,0.407 in normal control subjects respectively. There was no significant difference in two groups(χ 2 = 0.18,P﹥0.05).Genotype frequency of TC,TT and CC of α-adducin gene were 0.533,0.400,0.067 in hypertension group and 0.441,0.455,0.104 in normal control subjects respectively. There was no significant difference in two groups(χ 2 = 2.64,P﹥0.05).The frequency of T,C allele were 0.667,0.333 in hypertension group and 0.676,0.324 in normal control subjects respectively, there was no significant difference in two groups either(χ 2 = 0.05,P ﹥ 0.05).CONCLUSION The result suggests that the Gly460Trp polymorphism of α-adducin gene and-344T /C polymorphism of CYP11B2 gene may not be associated with essential hypertension in Han population,Henan.
