Abstract
The leaching kinetics of silver extracted by thiourea solution from a leached residue in the hydrometallurgy of zinc was studied. The leaching reaction is a typical oxido reduction reaction, and the leaching kinetics can be expressed by the shrinking core model. The leaching mechanism is fairly explained by the model, and the model is consistent with the experimental results. The activation energy is calculated according to the Arrhenius equation and activation energy is 13.26?kJ/mol.
