Abstract

Endostatin is a C-terminal fragment of collagen XⅧ with M, of 20 000. Endostatin can inhibit endothelial proliferation and migration in vitro and also can inhibit angiogenesis and tumor growth in vivo by inducing apoptosis in endothelial cells. Endostatin is nontoxic and does not induce acquired drug resistance and has therefore become a potent new therapy strategy for solid tumor. This article will summarize the latest progress in endostatin studies.
