Curative Effect of Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure on Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia

Objective To investigate the effect of loop electrosurgical excision procedure(LEEP) on the treatment of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN).Methods LEEP was performed in 46 cases with CIN and the effect were analyzed retrospectively.Results The mean operation time was 5.5 min,mean hemorrhage was 6.8 ml.There was no case with wound infection or cervical stenosis.The results of pathologic diagnosis before and after LEEP were consistent in 35 cases(76.1%).The malignancy grade descended in 9 cases(19.6%) and upgraded in 2 cases,which one case was diagnosed as infiltrating carcinoma.The surgical margins were negative in 45 cases.The success rate of the treatment of CIN by LEEP was 97.8%,and the cure rate was 97.8%.6 patients who have never given birth had 7 pregnancies(person-time) after LEEP.Conclusion LEEP is a simple,effective and safe method in treat CIN,with little complication and retained productive function,and can be widely used in clinic.
